Study Online For a Real Estate Degree
Homburg's Real Estate programs are designed to be delivered mainly online through Homburg's virtual learning environment- the Homburg eCampus Global. This learning environment is among the best video learning systems available today. Based on Blackboard's newest release platform, Blackboard Learn 9.1, and the latest features of Blackboard Collaborate video-conferencing systems, students can effectively work through their online courses with ease.
Every course has its own ‘Virtual Course Room’ through which students can access course materials (syllabus, PowerPoint presentations, lecture notes, online readings, video-recorded lectures), and other learning resources. No special software is required. Students can access the course rooms, and the online electronic library, through any web browser.
At Homburg Education, we understand the fast-paced lifestyles of our students today, and because of this, we offer flexibility and convenience through our Real Estate Programs. Lectures are available online as video-on-demand in a range of formats which allows you to work at your own pace, where convenient. You can easily follow from your home computer, laptop, or even your mobile device, and stop/restart or review the lectures as many times as you like.
Every course also contains a live component, based on video-conferencing 'webinars.' Each week, students gather online with the course Professor for a virtual tutorial (Seminar group) of usually no more than 12 students at a time, to facilitate interactive discussion with the professor, and among students. The Seminar is the opportunity for students to gain clarification from the professor about points in the reading materials or lectures, and to engage in substantive discussion about key issues. There is also the ability for professors to assign students to virtual break-out rooms for group work and short assignments during class.
Video-conferencing technology enables lecture and reading clarification through two-way interaction with the instructor and students. These seminars can trigger and sustain critical thinking and independent learning that makes student-centred learning so effective and engaging. The highly interactive discussion centred classroom is the hallmark of effective online learning.
Students are given the option to study solely online, or study in a combination of ways through our Study Abroad and Study Summer Institutes options.
